Authenticity & Care
Effective Date: August 28, 2026
Every Colette Falchet piece is made to live close to the body, chosen with intention, worn with care, and preserved for the stories it may carry forward over generations. A few thoughtful habits will help protect its beauty, structure, and meaning over time.
Our Craftsmanship Warranty
Each Colette Falchet piece reflects our commitment to exceptional materials, refined construction, and meticulous hand-finishing. Our craftsmanship warranty applies only to eligible pieces purchased directly from Colette Falchet or through a sales channel expressly authorized by us.
If you believe your jewelry may have a manufacturing concern, please contact our Concierge. Your piece will be carefully reviewed, and we will advise whether the concern appears to fall within warranty coverage, requires repair at an additional cost, or is best addressed through professional maintenance.
Our warranty covers confirmed defects in materials or craftsmanship arising from the original creation of the piece. It does not cover natural wear, accidental damage, improper care, impact, loss, theft, exposure to chemicals or moisture, or changes caused by normal use. It also does not cover any repair, resizing, polishing, alteration, or intervention performed outside Colette Falchet.
Our pieces are created with natural gemstones and pearls. Subtle variations in color, form, texture, and inclusions are expressions of their natural origin and are not considered defects. These distinctions are part of what makes each piece unique.
If your jewelry requires repair, please contact our Concierge before seeking service elsewhere. Any outside intervention may compromise the piece and may void warranty coverage.
Caring for Your Jewelry
Fine jewelry is resilient, but not indifferent. The way it is stored, worn, and cleaned will shape how it ages.
-
Store each piece separately in its original box or a soft pouch to help protect it from scratches, pressure, and tangling.
-
Avoid contact with perfume, cosmetics, hairspray, household products, chlorine, and abrasive surfaces.
-
Remove your jewelry before bathing, swimming, exercising, sleeping, or participating in activities that may expose it to impact, pressure, prolonged moisture, or chemicals.
-
Clean gold gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
-
Have settings, clasps, and delicate elements professionally inspected periodically, especially on pieces worn often.
Caring for Natural Gemstones
Every natural gemstone has its own structure, character, and sensitivity. Heat, chemicals, sudden changes in temperature, impact, and certain cleaning methods may alter or damage some stones.
Protect gemstone jewelry from knocks and pressure, and store each piece separately to prevent contact with harder gemstones or metals.
Clean natural gemstones gently with a soft, lint-free cloth. Pieces containing pearls, emeralds, turquoise, opals, coral, lapis lazuli, or closely set stones should be treated as especially delicate and cleaned only with guidance from our Concierge. Do not use chemical solutions, ultrasonic equipment, or steam cleaners unless Colette Falchet expressly recommends them for your particular piece.
Caring for Pearls
Pearls are organic gems. Their luster comes from nacre, a delicate natural surface that responds to moisture, heat, chemicals, and abrasion. Wear pearls as the final touch, after applying perfume, cosmetics, and skincare.
After wearing, gently wipe your pearls with a soft, slightly damp cloth before returning them to their box. Store them away from chemicals, excessive heat, and prolonged moisture.
Pearls should never be placed in an ultrasonic or steam cleaner or exposed to chemical cleaning solutions.
Professional Cleaning & Repairs
For deep cleaning, resizing, restoration, or repair, please contact our Concierge before entrusting your piece to another jeweler. Any repair, resizing, polishing, alteration, or intervention performed outside Colette Falchet may compromise the integrity of the piece and may void warranty coverage.
